Measuring

Reading analytics

What each Analytics metric counts, and how conversions link to orders.

The Analytics screen has three tabs that share one date range: Overview, Upsells, and Products.

How attribution works

  1. A view is recorded the first time an offer renders on a page.
  2. A click is recorded when a customer interacts with the offer.
  3. Items added through an offer carry a marker into the cart. When Shopify sends the order, RevenueLift matches those line items and records the conversion and its revenue.

Attribution is tied to the order, so each order is counted once and revenue matches what the store charged.

Overview

  • Views: times offers rendered.
  • Clicks: interactions with offers.
  • Accepted offers: conversions attributed to offers.
  • Conversion value: revenue attributed to those conversions.
  • ROI: attributed revenue compared with what you paid for the app.

The chart shows revenue over the selected range. You can switch the second series between views, accepted offers, and clicks.

Upsells

One sortable row per offer, with views, clicks, conversions, conversion rate, and revenue. Use this tab when deciding what to keep, change, or turn off.

Products

One row per product that appeared in an offer, with views, clicks, units sold, and revenue, split by one-time vs selling plan. This is the fastest way to see which products customers actually take as add-ons.

Tips for reading the numbers

  • Compare conversion rate within the same surface, not across surfaces. A thank you page offer and a product page bundle are not competing for the same attention.
  • Give an offer enough traffic before judging it. A handful of views will not tell you much.
  • Change one thing at a time (discount, products, or placement) so you can tell what moved the result.
