RevenueLift uses Shopify theme extensions. Nothing is written into your theme files, so uninstalling the app removes the offers cleanly.
Turn on the app embed
The app embed lets RevenueLift show the announcement bar, product page offers, and cart offers.
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then Themes.
- On your live theme, choose Customize.
- Open App embeds in the left sidebar.
- Switch on RevenueLift Upsells, then save.
Home in the app also shows whether the embed is active, so you can check without leaving RevenueLift.
Add a theme app block
Automatic placement puts an offer in a default spot. For exact control, Frequently Bought Together and Product Add-Ons are also available as theme app blocks.
- In the theme editor, open the template you want (usually the product page).
- Choose Add block inside the section where the offer should appear.
- Pick RevenueLift FBT or RevenueLift Add-ons.
- Drag it into place and save.
In the offer’s Placement tab, set placement to the app block so RevenueLift renders into that block.
Thank you page offers
Thank you page offers are checkout UI extensions. You place them in Shopify’s checkout editor, not the theme editor. See thank you page setup.
When an offer does not appear
Check these items first. They cover most cases.
- The app embed is off, or it was enabled on a theme that is not your live theme.
- The offer is saved but not published.
- Billing is not active, so publishing is blocked.
- The offer’s trigger does not match the product being viewed. Check the Trigger tab.
- Another offer with a higher priority matched first. Only one offer per type shows for a given trigger product.
- Placement points at an HTML element id that is not in your theme. Fix the id, or switch to an app block.
- For Product Add-Ons, automatic add-to-cart detection did not find your theme’s button. Switch detection to manual and enter the button’s id.
Fine-tuning appearance
Each offer has its own design controls. The announcement bar also has its own custom CSS field. For styles that should apply to every pre-purchase widget, use the store-wide custom CSS field on the Help screen.
